Prohibiting vehicles from traveling through Thi Nai Bridge
On November 6, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police announced a ban on vehicles traveling through Thi Nai Bridge (Quy Nhon Dong Ward) before the time of storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13.).
Due to the impact of the storm, in the morning of the same day, the Thi Nai bridge area had strong winds, posing a risk to the safety of people and vehicles, especially motorbikes, motorbikes, rudimentary vehicles and cars.

In order to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police temporarily banned vehicles from traveling through Thi Nai Bridge from 11:00 on November 6 until safety was ensured.
According to the forecast, some important traffic routes such as An Khe Pass, Mang Yang Pass, To Na Pass... are likely to experience prolonged landslides and congestion.

The leader of the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police said that for traffic routes at high risk of landslides and congestion, the authorities have arranged people, vehicles, and mobile machinery to promptly fix incidents when they occur.
Strictly prohibit the use of natural disasters for speculation
On the same day, Steering Committee 389 of Gia Lai province requested departments, branches and localities to proactively deploy measures to respond to storm No. 13. In particular, focusing on ensuring the supply of essential goods and stabilizing the market.
Departments, branches and localities must closely monitor supply and demand developments, prices of essential goods such as food, foodstuffs, drinking water, gasoline, medicine, medical supplies, etc.; promptly grasp fluctuations to advise on appropriate regulation plans.

Coordinate with businesses, supermarkets, and agents to prepare reserve goods, proactively supply to isolated or vulnerable areas; strengthen inspection and strictly handle speculative, hoarding, price increases, and spreading false information that disrupts the market.
Localities must check the listing of prices and selling at the correct prices listed at stores, supermarkets, and traditional markets; instruct retail outlets and agents to publicize prices, ensure supply and quality of goods, especially in rural, mountainous, and storm-affected areas.
Regulate reservoirs, proactively welcome floods
To ensure safety and compliance with the inter-reservoir operation process in the Ba River basin, on November 6, the Gia Lai Provincial Civil Defense Command proposed that Gia Lai Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited gradually increase the flow through Ayun Ha Lake, to lower the water level to the lowest flood elevation, with a flow rate of no more than 400m3/s.
When the water level of the Ayun Pa hydrological station is nearly at alert level 2, the operating unit will gradually reduce the flow through the lake, moving to a state of flood reduction in the downstream area, ensuring the safety of the project. The regulation time is from 7:00 a.m. on November 6 to 7:00 a.m. on November 8.

For Ka Nak Lake, An Khe - Ka Nak 2 Hydropower Company must gradually increase the flow through the lake, lower the water level to the lowest elevation to receive floodwaters, with a flow not exceeding 300m3/s. When the water level of An Khe hydrological station is close to alert level 2, the flow through the lake will gradually decrease, switching to flood reduction in downstream areas, ensuring the safety of the project.
For An Khe Lake, continue to regulate the flow through the spillway to no more than 300m3/s, then adjust to a maximum of 480m3/s. The regulation period is from 1:00 p.m. on November 6 to 1:00 p.m. on November 8.
The Command Committee requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to promptly notify people, agencies and units relevant about the regulation plan; inspect and dismantle works and obstacles affecting flood drainage, closely monitor the water level changes on the river, arrange forces to control and guide traffic in areas with deep flooding and fast-flowing water; prepare human resources, materials and means to ensure traffic safety.
