During the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - directly inspected the scene, visited and wished Tet to the construction units of Project 2 runway and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport.
This is a project with particularly strict requirements for ensuring security and safety, not interrupting civilian and military flight operations. The project is implemented in 1 bidding package by the Joint Venture of ACC Aviation Construction Corporation - Truong Son Construction Corporation - DACINCO Construction Investment Co., Ltd.
Through inspection, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Traffic and Civil Project Management Board to coordinate with contractors to review and adjust the progress, ensuring the completion of the entire construction volume, equipment installation and organize adjusted flights before July 5, 2026; no later than July 15, 2026, commercial flights must be put into operation.
At the same time, have appropriate material transportation plans, minimize the impact on people's lives; promptly overcome damage to roads serving construction, and regularly water to reduce dust.
Working with contractors and transport businesses, requiring drivers to strictly comply with regulations on traffic safety, environmental sanitation, vehicle protection, speed, tonnage and traffic hours..., not to affect people's lives.
To ensure progress, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested construction contractors to arrange sufficient manpower and equipment, organize 3 shifts and 4 teams of construction, working throughout Tet; and at the same time fully implement regimes and policies to encourage and support workers and laborers participating in construction during Tet.
The Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested relevant communes and wards to proactively coordinate and support investors and construction units to promptly remove obstacles; strengthen propaganda to help people understand the meaning and importance of the project for the socio-economic development of the province, thereby creating consensus in the implementation process.
