On February 20 (ie, the 4th day of Tet), Gia Lai province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 255th anniversary of the Tay Son Farmers' Uprising (1771 - 2026) and the 237th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory (1789 - 2026). Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Standing Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the Tay Son uprising in 1771 was a typical event of the oppressed people, completing the historical mission of national reunification. This was the only peasant uprising in Vietnamese feudal history that reached final victory, establishing a new progressive government.

Mr. Thanh affirmed that the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory is an immortal epic in the history of nation-building and defense of the nation, proving the outstanding military art and the strength of great national unity. The spirit of Tay Son - Quang Trung after more than 2 centuries still retains its value, adding faith, will and aspiration to rise up for today's generations in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
In order to preserve and promote the heritage values of the Tay Son dynasty, Gia Lai province is displaying thousands of precious documents and artifacts at the Tay Son Thuong Dao Exhibition House and Quang Trung Museum. At the same time, special national relics such as the Tay Son Thuong Dao Relic Complex and Tay Son Tam Kiet Temple are being concerned with restoration and embellishment, gradually becoming "red addresses" for traditional education, fostering national pride and attracting tourists to their roots.
Through this, the glorious career of the Tay Son dynasty and the merits of the three brothers Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Hue, and Nguyen Lu continue to be honored and spread widely in social life.
In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hieu (78 years old, residing in Tay Son commune) said that every year she comes to attend the anniversary ceremony. "The festival is held solemnly, people are very excited. Everyone wishes a new year of peace and prosperity," Ms. Hieu shared.
