On August 12, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province announced that the province will hold a groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration ceremony for a number of key transport projects, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
According to the plan, at 8:00 a.m. on August 19, the province started the project to invest in the construction of runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport, with a total investment of more than VND 3,245 billion, with implementation period from 2025 to 2028.

At the same time, Gia Lai province will inaugurate the project to build a southern bypass of Phu Phong town (total capital of more than VND 791 billion, length of nearly 18km, starting in August 2022) and the project of the connecting road from the western provincial road (DT638) to the coastal road (DT639) in Phu My district (total capital of more than VND 818 billion, length of more than 19km, starting in June 2022).
In addition to transportation projects, Gia Lai province also held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Concentrated Agricultural and Forestry Products Production and Processing Area project and Phu My Industrial Park project - Phase 1.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the Concentrated Agricultural and Forestry Products Production and Processing Area project was held in village 2, Tay Son commune. The project is invested by Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, phase 1 has a total capital of nearly 500 billion VND.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Phu My Industrial Park project - phase 1 was held in Phu My Dong commune. The project is invested by Phu My Group Investment Joint Stock Company, with a scale of more than 436 hectares, with a total capital of over VND 4,500 billion.
