On August 12, the Department of Finance of Gia Lai province said it was presiding over and coordinating with localities to count and inspect all headquarters and public assets remaining after the merger.
The province's guiding viewpoint is to prioritize the use of old public works such as cultural houses, libraries, community centers, etc. to serve people's livelihood, education or start-ups.
The province affirmed that it will handle surplus assets in accordance with regulations, avoid loss and waste; not sell offices or career facilities. Communes, wards, and units assigned to manage must arrange personnel to be on duty and protect assets.
