In 2025, the Gia Lai provincial health sector coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect 9,908 food production and trading establishments in the area. Thereby, 138 establishments were fined for violating food safety regulations, with a total amount of more than 539 million VND.
The main violations include: trading in products subject to self-declaration or registration of product declarations but not making the declaration according to regulations; not having a receipt for product declaration registration; food preservation not in accordance with the conditions stated on the label; areas with shelves, storage warehouses with low prices, shelves, nameplates, regulations, procedures and not ensuring hygiene...
Along with the inspection and handling of violations, the Gia Lai health sector has promoted propaganda and dissemination of knowledge on food poisoning prevention and control, contributing to raising awareness and sense of law compliance of production, business establishments and consumers in the area.
In addition, food pollution risk monitoring is regularly deployed at food and street food service establishments; strengthening inspection and supervision of food safety at festivals and crowded events, thereby contributing to limiting food poisoning incidents.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, Gia Lai province has recorded 3 cases of food poisoning, of which 1 case affected more than 30 people.
