Many localities have drastically completed and handed over land.
On August 7, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project is a national key project, and cannot be delayed in progress and planning.
Therefore, the province requests localities to complete the approval of the entire compensation plan before August 8; complete the handover of 100% of clean ground to construction units before August 15, 2026.
According to statistics, component project 1 (Km0 - Km22) has handed over 19.3km of clean ground, reaching 87%; component project 3 (Km90 - Km125) has handed over 33.99km/34.85km, reaching 97.5%; component project 2 just started construction in May 2026 but has handed over 23.5km/68km, reaching about 34.5%.
Localities including Lo Pang, K'Dang, Dak Doa and Hoi Phu ward basically completed site clearance for the main route.
According to the People's Committee of Hoi Phu ward, the section passing through the area has a total length of 1,581km. The total land area recovered from organizations, households, and individuals is 107,491.6m2 of 63 households and individuals with 90 land plots. Among them, there are 17 plots with houses or works affected and 2 land plots of organizations.
Thanks to the persistent propaganda and mobilization of officials and leaders at all levels and the consensus of the people in the project area, the handover of clean land has been completed at 100%.
The Ward Party Committee thoroughly grasped the spirit of clearly assigning people, clearly defining tasks, clearly defining responsibilities, and clearly defining results. Thanks to that, land recovery and people agreeing to receive support, compensation, and resettlement are convenient," Mr. Vu Manh Dinh - Chairman of Hoi Phu Ward People's Committee shared.
The remaining communes need to proactively remove bottlenecks
In some other localities where the expressway passes through, there are still some bottlenecks that need to be drastically resolved.
Specifically, in Binh An commune, there are still 6 obstacles related to 31 cases; Ia Bang commune still has some households that do not agree because the compensation fund is not enough to create a new residence; in Mang Yang commune, there are still 2 households that have not agreed on the compensation unit price.
The Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway construction investment project has a length of about 125km, passing through 16 communes and wards of Gia Lai province, with a total investment of more than 43,700 billion VND.
Leaders of Gia Lai province requested localities to proactively coordinate and thoroughly handle each difficulty and obstacle, absolutely not to let delays and shirking of responsibility occur, affecting the overall progress of the project.
