On October 1, the leader of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee said that the authorities are conducting an inspection and verification of information related to Mr. P.T.P - Secretary of the Bo Ngoong Commune Party Committee - who is accused of not participating in the training course for cadres according to regulations, but participating in a Pickleball tournament.
Previously, on August 29, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics issued Document No. 1754 to the Standing Committees of Provincial Party Committees and centrally run City Party Committees on organizing training courses to update knowledge and skills for leaders and managers of communes, wards and special zones.
The class took place from September 6 to 8 in person at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and online at all locations in communes, wards and special zones across the country. The participants include Secretary, Deputy Secretary; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, and leaders of a number of commune-level agencies and units.
However, Mr. P.T.P was suspected of not participating in this training course but attending the "U90+ Love Pickleball Dance" held on September 7 at a sports field in Chu Se commune (Gia Lai).
