As planned, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - attended and directed the Congress.
At the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ly - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee - informed that personnel preparation for the Congress has been seriously and methodically implemented. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has summarized the personnel for the 2020-2025 term, determined the standards, structure, and number of key positions for the 2025-2030 term; developed a personnel project to submit to the Congress.
The theme of the Congress is to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; promote cultural identity, the strength of great national unity; maintain national defense and security; promote science and technology; mobilize resources to build Gia Lai into a fairly developed province of the whole country. The Congress motto is "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".
The Congress will summarize the implementation of the Provincial Party Committee Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, determine the goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 period; discuss and give comments on draft documents to the 14th National Party Congress.
Notably, this Congress did not elect a new term Party Committee or a delegation to the 14th National Party Congress. The Politburo will appoint the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, the Inspection Committee, the Chairman, and the Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term and appoint the Provincial Party Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress.
In particular, the Congress agreed not to accept congratulatory flowers from localities, but only to accept congratulatory flowers from Party and State leaders.
At the press conference, the press was interested in many contents such as Party building work, provincial development orientation in the coming term, Congress propaganda work... In particular, the issue of announcing key personnel for the new term at the Congress received special attention.
Concluding the press conference, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council - emphasized that this Congress is a milestone marking the beginning of a new term, demonstrating the aspiration of the entire Party Committee in the orientation of building Gia Lai to develop more and more.
For key positions such as Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Party Executive Committee, Provincial Party Standing Committee, ... for the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Chung said it will be announced at the official session on October 3.
On the same morning, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province held the opening ceremony of the Press Center to serve the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
