Aspirations of prestigious people
According to the People's Committee of M'Drak district (Dak Lak province), by May 2025, the locality will have 19,132 households, 79,754 people and 17 ethnic groups living together. Of which, ethnic minorities have 8,234 households, accounting for 47. 40% of the district's population.
The whole district currently has 118 villages, hamlets and residential groups. Of which, there are 32 local ethnic minority hamlets, 22 villages have other ethnic minorities from other provinces living there.
M'Drak district is one of the localities with the most prestigious people, the village elderly are the ethnic minorities in Dak Lak province. They have played a very important role in hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and disseminating legal policies to the people.
The elder of Y Buep Nie SN 1970 (Ea Trang commune, M'Drak district) confided: "In recent years, thanks to the proper guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, the lives of the people in the village have been improved. The subjects enjoyed the national target program have made efforts to produce and develop household farming economy."
"As a prestigious person in the region, I hope that authorities at all levels will pay attention and have more support policies for the ethnic minorities in So to access a modern health system and better education. Thereby, ensuring the health and development of future generations in the villages", Mr. Y Buan added.

Mr. Y Gia Millo (a prestigious person in B'Mhao village, Cu Meta commune) hopes that the authorities will continue to deploy more training courses on plant care and animal husbandry for local people.
Because there are still many poor households in the village, the economy has not developed. Meanwhile, the main livelihood that helps people improve their lives is still raising livestock and growing crops.

Upgrading infrastructure, preserving culture
Leaders of Cu MTA People's Committee shared: "Every village, village and People's Committee meeting sent commune officials to directly attend the meeting with the people to capture opinions and promptly answer the problems and frustrations of the people.
Ethnic affairs officials also proactively propagate and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and actively participate in movements. Since then, the political security situation and social order and safety in Cu Meta commune have had clear changes".

In addition, the People's Committee of the commune also focuses on implementing investment support for preserving villages and typical traditional cultures of ethnic minorities; investing in cultural and sports institutions and equipment in villages and hamlets.
Thereby, contributing to the preservation of traditional cultural values of the people in the region.

Mr. Y Chen Mlo - Head of the Department of Culture and Religion of M'Drak district shared: "In recent years, authorities at all levels in the district have paid great attention to the lives of people in ethnic minority areas. Therefore, many roads in villages and hamlets have been concreted. Hospitals, schools, and health stations have been renovated and repaired to meet the needs of the people.
In addition, many large-scale domestic water and irrigation works have been deployed to meet the people's agricultural needs. Thanks to that, many lands that were still poor 5 years ago have now changed their skin, developed more and more, and people's lives have improved".
