Dak Lak - Prestigious people in M'Drak district have been helping authorities at all levels guide and support young people in ethnic minority areas to start a business.

Flexible to overcome difficulties

Mr. Y Chen MLo - Head of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Department of M'Drak district said: "In the period of 2021 - 2025, a number of prolonged and complicated infectious diseases in the area have significantly affected people's lives, making it difficult to propagate and disseminate the law".

According to Mr. Y Chen, the current team of reporters and legal advertisers are mainly part-time staff, not having in-depth expertise in law as well as skills in disseminating and educating the law. In addition, investment resources for this work are still limited and do not meet the requirements of the task.

To overcome the difficulties, the M'Drak district government has mobilized the participation of village heads, hamlets and prestigious people in the community. Although they do not have much experience in legal policy propaganda, they are trusted and loved by the people, contributing to effectively supporting this activity.

Mr. Y Gia Mlo, a prestigious person in B'Mhao hamlet, Cu Meta commune, M'Drak district, is one of the special cases in the locality. In recent years, he has guided and helped many young people in the village learn how to care for and grow coffee trees to develop their family economy.

The cases supported by Mr. Y Gia are mostly young people who are disoriented and have no sense of self-development.

Mr. Y Gia Mlo shared: "During the sessions to share technical experiences in growing coffee trees for young people, I have integrated the work of propagating and disseminating legal policies to them.

Because young people are often easily caught up in social evils, they need to be disciplined regularly. Personally, I also have to always learn and approach new legal policies from the government to disseminate them to the people".

"In recent years, the rate of crime among young people in the village has decreased significantly, men in the area have worked hard to produce and improve their lives," Mr. Y Gia Mlo added.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thach - Chairman of M'Drak District People's Committee commented: "In recent years, thanks to the effective support of prestigious people in ethnic minority areas, the district has effectively implemented the work of propagating and disseminating laws to the people.

Without the silent contributions of prestigious people, it is difficult for us to spread the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies to the grassroots".
