On September 3, 2024, the Department of Transport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) and the Department of Transport of Quang Ninh Province (Vietnam) allowed New National Line Group Transportation Co., Ltd. (China) to cooperate with Global China Vietnam Friendship Group Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) to carry out a fixed passenger transport route between Nanning City (China) and Ha Long City (Vietnam) via the Beilun Bridge II Customs Clearance.
Speaking to Lao Dong reporter on September 15, Mr. Tran Duy Thang, General Director of Vietnam-China Global Friendship Group Joint Stock Company, said: "After a temporary suspension due to the storm, the bus will resume operation from September 19, 2024. The ticket price from Bai Chay bus station (Ha Long) to Dong Hung station (China) is 75 yuan (about 260,000 VND/person). From Bai Chay to Phong Linh station (Nanning, China), the ticket price is 155 yuan (about 520,000 VND/person).
The company plans to add two more limousines to serve passengers traveling back and forth during the day, if the customs clearance time through Bac Luan II Bridge is maintained from 7am to 8pm every day."
The cross-border bus route will depart from Bai Chay Bus Station (Ha Long) at 10:30 (Vietnam time), arrive at Dong Hung Station (Guangxi, China) at 14:00 (China time), and end the journey at Phong Linh Station (Nanning) at 16:30 (China time) every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
In the opposite direction, the bus departs from Phong Linh station at 9:00 a.m. (China time) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrives at Bai Chay bus station at 2:30 p.m. (Vietnam time).
The operation of the cross-border bus route between Nanning and Ha Long not only helps diversify tourism products but also shortens travel time, brings more experiences to tourists, and promotes tourism development between the two countries.
