On July 17, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the unit had just successfully rescued a patient trapped on a treetop in the campus of Thanh Hoa Mental Hospital.
According to initial information, at about 8:45 am on the same day, the 114 Command Information Center, Fire and Rescue Police Department received a report from a doctor at Thanh Hoa Mental Hospital about patient N.D. T. (residing in Tho Phu commune, Thanh Hoa province) being trapped on a treetop.
The patient, who is being treated at the hospital, climbed a tree from about 5:30 am on the same day and could not come down on his own, posing a potential risk of an accident.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched a ladder truck and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene quickly, deploying a rescue plan.
Recognizing that the patient is in the treatment process, psychologically unstable and may be agitated, the rescue force prioritizes applying psychological reassuring measures, persistently approaching, keeping a safe distance and creating trust for patients to cooperate.
After more than 10 minutes of approaching and deploying the plan, officers and soldiers brought the patient safely from the tree to the ground.
The patient was then handed over to the team of doctors and nurses of Thanh Hoa Mental Hospital to continue monitoring and treatment.
