Young man trapped under Thang Long bridge girder rescued

Hanoi - Rescue forces have safely brought a young man trapped under the steel girder system of Thang Long bridge out.

On the morning of July 11, Hanoi City Police informed about the successful rescue of a young man trapped under the steel girder system of Thang Long bridge. Previously, the Fire and Rescue Police force (PCCC&CNCH) promptly approached, took the victim out of the dangerous position and transferred him to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to Hanoi City Police, at about 9:24 am on July 9, the Command Information Center of Hanoi City Police received a report about a young man showing abnormal signs, suspected of using stimulants, climbing onto the steel beam system under Thang Long bridge.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team No. 3 (Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police) coordinated with Thien Loc Commune Police and functional forces to deploy a rescue plan.

At the scene, functional forces determined that the victim was still conscious but injured and unable to move on his own. Officers and soldiers used specialized vehicles to approach, take the victim out of the dangerous area and perform initial first aid.

The victim was identified as Mr. D. V. T (born 1993, from Phu Tho), who was later transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for health monitoring.

After completing the rescue work, the case was handed over to Thien Loc Commune Police to receive, verify, and clarify according to regulations.
