Hanoi City Police has just held a conference to deploy a comprehensive plan to ensure security and order to protect the 80th Anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Major General Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Director of CATP - chaired the reporting and discussion content of the units. The options are presented focusing on three main contents: ensuring political security, ensuring social order and safety and ensuring traffic order and safety.
Accordingly, the professional units of Hanoi City Police have had a thorough preparation process, from identifying the subjects and areas that need protection to plans to arrange forces in each round, each area, and each time. Special attention was paid to locations such as Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, and parade streets.
Discussing at the conference, representatives of units under Hanoi City Police reported on the progress of implementing assigned tasks, focusing on key task groups such as political security work; controlling people and vehicles entering and leaving the event area; monitoring and tracking the situation in cyberspace; protecting key targets.
The units affirmed that they have mobilized maximum forces, deployed field surveys, and developed detailed plans for each working group, checkpoint location, route, and task implementation time. The contents of coordination with units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and departments, branches, and sectors of the city, and other forces at the grassroots level were also carefully and synchronously prepared.
At the conference, a number of solutions were proposed to perfect the overall plan, such as: increasing the coordination force to regulate traffic at key intersections, arranging additional mobile first aid points, checking communication systems and technical means to serve command and control in emergency situations; organizing drills to solve some special situations, to ensure officers and soldiers in each department have a firm grasp of the handling plan, minimizing confusion and overlap in practice.
Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police Department - emphasized that the celebration is a political event of special importance, large scale, with many concentrated activities, wide scope of implementation, so the requirements for ensuring security and order are very high, very urgent and should not be negligent.
From now until the celebration, there is not much time left, it is recommended that units quickly concretize the agreed plans, synchronously deploy professional measures, proactively grasp the situation, promptly detect and effectively handle potential complicated factors.
Regarding the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, forces are required to focus on implementing the plan correctly, proactively adjusting the plan to suit the actual situation.
Note that it is necessary to propagate early and clearly about the time, scope of road closures, and traffic diversion plans so that people can grasp and proactively plan their travel routes to avoid congestion and affect their lives and activities.
The Director of CATP also requested officers and soldiers to strictly comply with the People's Public Security's regulations, uphold the spirit of responsibility, solemnity, style, and promote the tradition of the Capital Police; and to show the image of a disciplined, devoted, close, and friendly Police officer in the eyes of the People and international friends.
In the process of performing tasks, forces need to proactively coordinate closely, not to let overlaps or omit tasks, ensure unity, high harmony, and ensure absolute security and safety for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
