As previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the storm and flood of Yagi in September 2024 caused a serious landslide on the Ho Chi Minh road section Km205+900 through Phuong Tien commune.
The road surface and embankment have collapsed and cracked, causing unsafety for people and vehicles when moving through here.

Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities took remedial measures to ensure traffic safety in the area.
On August 21, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter noted that at the scene of the above landslide, barriers, markers and reflective ropes were reinstalled.
Warning lights and signs have been installed at both ends of the landslide. Along the edge of the road, the path is equipped with reflective markers to support safer traffic.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, a truck driver who often passes through this route, shared that before, every time he passed through a landslide at dawn, it was difficult to identify because it was located right at the curve.
Currently, ropes and warning signs have been installed in this area to help people and vehicles easily recognize and move more conveniently and safely.
"In the immediate future, stretching ropes, placing markers and installing warning lights has helped reduce the risk of accidents a lot, we hope that in the near future, agencies at all levels will soon take measures to handle and completely overcome the landslide point to make travel more secure," said Mr. Minh.

According to research, this route is currently managed by the Vietnam Road Administration. The incident that occurred in September 2024 caused about 50m of road surface to be seriously eroded, part of the roadbed was eroded.
Talking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of Phuong Tien Commune People's Committee confirmed that the landslide location has been fenced off to ensure initial safety.
According to the commune leader, the locality has directly petitioned the road management agency, requesting that there be a solution to promptly overcome and handle it thoroughly to ensure the safety of people and vehicles in the coming time.
