The flood since September 2024 has caused serious landslides on the Nguyen Phuc - Sy Binh inter-commune road in the old Bach Thong district. The flood swept away about 300 meters of the road surface, digging 50cm deep, affecting traffic.
According to the reporter's records after nearly a year, the road is still in a state of disarray. Heavy rains in 2025, especially in June, continue to cause landslides on the road, affecting vehicles participating in traffic.
In the section from Ngoan village to Khuoi village, the road surface was dug deep in the middle. This is a vital route to serve the travel needs of the people.
A similar situation also occurs on the Quang Khe - Khang Ninh route directly connecting to Ba Be Lake tourist area. This is a key traffic axis connecting the region and Ba Be Lake tourism. The landslide is seriously threatening and affecting traffic safety.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in early August 2025, many points on this route, especially the section passing through Ba Be commune, experienced landslides on the positive slope. Some sections currently do not have a system to prevent landslides, stone cages, or if there are, they are skewed, causing rocks and soil to overflow. The road is bumpy and sliding, seriously affecting vehicles participating in traffic.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Khanh (Cho Moi) said that the landslide phenomenon has appeared for a while, after each heavy rain, the amount of rock and soil sliding down increased.
"In many sections, when it rains heavily, it is easy for rocks and soil to slide onto the road. Soil and rocks are scattered, making it very difficult to move. I hope there will soon be a solution to ensure the safety of the people" - Mr. Khanh said.
At the same time, the route from the old Bac Kan City to Ba Be Lake also experienced landslides. These are all vital routes with a large volume of vehicles. Landslides often occur, causing insecurity for people. This route has been implemented since the end of 2021, nearly 40km long, designed for a speed of 40-60km/h, level III, level IV mountainous areas.
Informing the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of the Thai Nguyen Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board confirmed that there were landslides due to natural disasters at some locations on the road connecting to Ba Be Lake.
According to this leader, units are currently coordinating with localities to inspect the current status, handle landslides, and ensure smooth traffic. At the same time, the entire route will be reviewed to soon find solutions to overcome...
