Date 11.8, the Public Security of Kỳ Tân Commune (Kỳ Anh District) collaborated with the Forest Protection Division of Kỳ Anh District and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dương's family (born in 1982, residing in Trung Thượng Hamlet, Kỳ Tân Commune) conducted the handover of a rare Indotestudo elongata mountain tortoise to Vũ Quang National Park for release into the wild.
Earlier, on 9.8, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dương went into the forest and discovered a 0.4 kg mountain tortoise in the Đá Bạc area, Kỳ Tân Commune.
Upon determining that this mountain tortoise is a rare and endangered species that requires protection, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dương contacted and handed over the animal to law enforcement officials.
