Recorded during the day at Pham Hung (area in front of My Dinh bus station), Giai Phong (in front of Giap Bat bus station), Tran Nhat Duat... routes showed that the traffic volume was significantly lower than usual days. People mainly moved to shop and visit near Tet, the traffic situation was basically stable, without prolonged congestion.

Implementing the plan to ensure traffic order and safety during Tet of Hanoi City Police, functional units have proactively developed plans and arranged forces to patrol and control the area 24/24 hours.

The focus is on inspecting and handling violations that potentially cause congestion and traffic accidents such as alcohol concentration violations, speeding, carrying more people than prescribed, and stopping and parking in violation of regulations. At the same time, functional forces strengthen control of passenger transport activities before, during and after Tet, to prevent serious accidents or prolonged congestion at gateways.

Representatives of the Hanoi Traffic Police Department said that Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 maintains mobile patrols combined with duty posts at key routes such as Tran Nhat Duat, Trang Tien, Hang Bai, Trang Thi... In addition to handling violations that are direct causes of congestion, functional forces also focus on handling acts of not wearing helmets, alcohol concentration violations, and not obeying traffic lights.

In parallel with handling violations, working groups maintain traffic regulation, guide and support people and tourists to move safely, especially in tourist areas and crowded tourist spots. In nearly 2 hours of alcohol concentration testing for both cars and motorbikes, functional forces discovered 4 cases of motorbike drivers violating; no violations were recorded for cars.
In the Northeast gateway area of the Capital, representatives of Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 said that the unit maintains mobile patrol teams on Nguyen Van Cu and National Highway 5 routes - where inter-provincial traffic flow tends to increase during the Tet holiday. In about 2 hours, functional forces discovered and handled 10 cases of motorcyclists violating alcohol concentration, and no violations were detected for cars.

Lieutenant Colonel Dao Viet Long - Deputy Head of Hanoi Traffic Police Department said that the Capital Traffic Police force will continue to maintain closed patrols and controls in the area, strictly handle violations that are the cause of congestion and traffic accidents, and promote the application of technology in monitoring and handling violations.
