Hanoi will restrict waterway traffic on a section of the Duong River during 12:00 on August 19 to serve the exam to issue Certificates of Professional Capacity for captains and chief engineers of inland waterway vehicles.
According to Notice No. 1255/TB-SXD dated August 17, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Construction will restrict inland waterway traffic on the Duong River from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on August 19.
The restricted area is located on the national inland waterway of the Duong River, section from Km45+100 to Km47+100. The left bank belongs to Phu Dong commune, the right bank belongs to Thuan An commune, Hanoi City.
During traffic restrictions, vehicles circulate according to instructions to serve the organization of the Professional Capacity Certificate (GCNKNCM) exam for captains and chief engineers.
Hanoi Department of Construction requests vehicle owners and waterway vehicle operators when passing through the area to comply with the inland waterway traffic signal system, the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic and related regulations.
Traffic restrictions are implemented at the request of Hanoi Vocational School and Technology Development Joint Stock Company. The traffic safety assurance plan has been approved by the Northern Maritime and Waterway Sub-Department.
Functional forces are requested to coordinate and monitor traffic conditions, ensuring safety during the exam period.
