In order to meet the workload and high participation density during the important holidays celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80), Hanoi City has launched a large-scale environmental sanitation campaign, with the goal of ensuring aesthetics, safety and hygiene and experience for the public throughout the series of parade, parade and commemorative events.
A representative of Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited (Urenco) said that to meet the large workload and high density of participants during major holidays, the unit has completed the installation of more than 1,000 public toilets, including 612 mobile toilets, 400 toilets mobilized from agencies, houses and many battlefield toilets in the concentrated areas. Sanitation infrastructure is arranged at intersections, entrances and distribution areas to optimize access and minimize overload at some points.

On main roads, parade routes and entertainment centers, motorbike sweeping and road washing activities by specialized vehicles are organized daily to ensure the road surface is clean, reduce dust and odor. Key routes are monitored and maintained continuously to minimize waste remaining, while ensuring safety and hygiene for participants and service forces.
In addition, 800 trash bins with white plastic bags were arranged along the event routes. These trash bins are collected periodically during peak hours, combined with preliminary classification of organic and inorganic waste on site to reduce the load for final transportation. The arrangement of trash bins with signs and packages in a synchronous manner aims to encourage people and visitors to dump trash in the right place.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Ba Dinh Branch, with the criteria of safety, hygiene, urban beauty and community top priority, the unit has carefully prepared infrastructure, equipment and human resources to ensure activities take place solemnly and civilly, with the message "each citizen is a decisive factor for the success of the event".
The campaign is widely deployed, focusing on key wards such as Ba Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Giang Vo, Dong Da, Lang, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Hoan Kiem, Hong Ha, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Bach Mai, Vinh Tuy, Tu Liem, Tay Mo, Dai Mo and Xuan Phuong. In each ward, Urenco coordinates with local authorities to arrange human resources, equipment and flexible collection plans according to actual situations, avoiding overlap and ensuring quick response when incidents arise.
