Hanoi simultaneously launches general cleaning and renovation of the bridge and road tunnel system to ensure traffic safety and urban aesthetics.

At exactly 8 am this morning (April 18), maintenance units simultaneously mobilized manpower and machinery to deploy general cleaning of traffic infrastructure. The renovation work focused on the overpass system, road tunnels and main streets in Hanoi City to ensure traffic safety and urban aesthetics during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30 - May 1.

The campaign is not only limited to environmental sanitation but also combines inspection and handling of arising incidents. Functional units closely coordinate with the People's Committees of wards and communes in protecting traffic safety corridors; promptly preventing and handling acts of encroachment on roads and sidewalks.

Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dam Quang Bao - Director of the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Department (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that the unit has requested groups and teams to strengthen inspection of traffic light systems and intersections. At the same time, the removal of illegal banners, advertisements, and classified ads is carried out thoroughly, ensuring urban aesthetics.

According to representatives of the Maintenance Board, the peak campaign takes place from 8 am on April 18 to the end of April 19, 2026. The work of ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation at pedestrian tunnels and pedestrian overpasses is particularly focused on, serving the increasing travel needs of people during the upcoming holidays.
