Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha has just signed and issued Official Letter No. 6508/UBND-KGVX dated December 10, 2025 on organizing the 2026 New Year's Eve program (Countdown 2026).
The program has the theme: Countdown 2026 - Opening a Real Connection held from 7:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025 to 0:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and Hoan Kiem Lake walking street space with 100% funding from socialized sources.
In order for the program to be organized safely and successfully to serve the people to enjoy the spring to welcome Tet as well as promote the image of a civilized, modern, and unique Hanoi, the city assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to control the implementation of the program contents and detailed plans to ensure compliance with the approved documents; manage forms of visual and promotional propaganda, butterfly, billboards, billboards, standees, leaflets, LEDs and on the media about the program.
At the same time, strengthen direction, orientation, and communication coordination on mass media about international events, promote the image of Hanoi - Vietnam among international friends; the necessary regulations and information of the Program when the audience attends the event.
Request the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee to direct and orient the city's press agencies to increase propaganda and reporting on the Program.
The Department of Tourism coordinates and directs businesses, organizations, and individuals doing tourism services in the city to update information about events, have many effective forms to introduce events to tourists; ensure good quality of products and services for tourism accommodation, travel, shopping, dining, entertainment, etc.
The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward develops and organizes the implementation of plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, medical rescue, environmental sanitation and urban beautification before, during and after events in accordance with the scope of management.
