The competition day on December 10 ended with a pretty good result from the Vietnam Sports Delegation. The athletes brought home 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 14 bronze medals, marking in many different sports.
Canoeing was the sport that "opened the shop" for gold medals with the victory of Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong in the women's 500m doubles event. Taekwondo then extended its joy when the mixed-use creative team including Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Tram Dang Khoa, Tran Ho Duy, Le Tran Kim Uyen, Nguyen Phan Khanh Han and Nguyen Thi Y Binh achieved the highest score in the final.
In the blue swimming competition, Tran Hung Nguyen continued to affirm her superiority with the 200m mixed championship. The iron ball also contributed a gold medal thanks to Nguyen Van Dung's high performance.
In addition, the Vietnamese team had 4 more silver medals from Nguyen Thi Kim Ha - Nguyen Trong Phuc (standard doubles taekwondo); Phung Mui Nhinh (jujitsu class 52kg); Vo Thi My Tien swam 200m butterfly); Vo Duy Thanh - Do Thi Thanh Thao (canoeing doubles 500m).
The remaining 14 bronze medals are spread across many sports: jujitsu (5), canoeing (1), taekwondo (1), maruk (1) flag fighting, swimming (3) and iron balls (3) .
