Dr. Vu Van Tien, member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Dr. Nguyen Van Pha, member of the Presidium, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the workshop.
Speaking at the opening of the Workshop, Dr. Nguyen Van Pha emphasized the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering and promoting the strength of national solidarity. The content of the Party's resolutions and directives, the Constitution, the Law of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and many other documents of the Party and State have recognized and stipulated the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organization, in which the functions and tasks are directly linked and demonstrate the core role of the Front organization in building the great national unity bloc.
According to Dr. Nguyen Van Pha, the new social context has raised many issues for the construction of the great national unity bloc such as: promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in some fields and areas has not been highly effective, has not been aroused, and has not promoted great potential among the people; some policies are not yet practical, and are difficult to implement; people's lives, especially in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, remote areas, are still facing many difficulties, rich - poor differentiation and large regional differences; the innovation of the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, promoting the role and effectiveness of mass organizations need many solutions to suit the current situation...

With those realities, it can be seen that, in order to continue building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, promoting the strength of the spirit of solidarity in the new period, affirming the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the cause of great national unity in building and defending the Fatherland, one of the requirements for the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to expand research and summarize the theoretical and practical issues of national unity and great national unity, Dr. Nguyen Van Pha stated on November 11 and said that on December 28, 2023, the Party Central Committee issued Plan No. 21-KH/TW to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of national unity, building our country to be more and more prosperous and happy. In which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to study and develop a strategy for great national unity until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and providing scientific and practical basis to determine the current status of gathering work, promoting the strength of national solidarity in the renovation period up to now. At the same time, clarify and analyze new factors of the market economy and international integration affecting the gathering and promotion of the strength of the entire nation; identify the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the above context, thereby proposing and suggesting solutions, initiatives and policies on building a great national unity strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Giving his opinion at the Workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Director of the Institute of History, said that in the current period, social classes such as the working class, farmers, intellectuals, and businessmen have been shaped, but there are always changes in quantity and organizational changes within each layer as well as in interaction with other classes and classes. Therefore, there needs to be a different approach to the social class in the context of the current market economy and international integration. That is, society exists in 2 parts: one is "Workers", including workers, farmers, intellectuals and the other is "business owners", including state-owned enterprises, collective enterprises and private enterprises.
With the above view, the Party, State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front need to have appropriate policies and guidelines, avoid trampling the framework and machinery in building the great national unity bloc to follow the guidelines set by the Party: "Promoting the strength of the entire ethnic community, the tradition of patriotism, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and national pride, aiming to maintain national independence, unity, for the rich people, strong countries, fair and civilized society as a point of similarity, respecting different opinions that are not contrary to the common interests of the nation, eliminating feelings, prejudices, and discrimination about the past, class, and composition, building an open spirit, mutual trust, towards the future... towards a solid foundation of the working class with the people and the poor farmers".

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Than, member of the Presidium, member of the Economic Advisory Council of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Vietnamese business community has an important position and role, being one of the core forces contributing to promoting the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration. Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo has identified the private economy as the most important driving force of the national economy. Therefore, the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a bridge and companion for the business community and the business community is extremely important in the new period. In particular, the Front needs to arouse and promote the spirit of doing business in the whole society, honoring businessmen with outstanding achievements.
"Enterprise spirit is one of the necessary conditions for economic development. Today, the development of a dependent country and the spirit of daring to do, daring to take risks, daring to do business of the business community, the future of the country is associated with competitiveness and innovation. Therefore, the timely encouragement and motivation of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front for the business community is a great source of motivation for each soldier on the economic front," Dr. Nguyen Van Than suggested.

Dr. Nguyen Tien Dinh, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, said that in the coming time, it is necessary to promote the role and strength of the entire political system in implementing great national unity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which is the socialist democracy; the socialist rule of law state of the people, by the people, for the people; the Vietnam Fatherland Front, people's organizations...
There is a full promotion of the role and strength of the entire new political system to attract, gather and promote the strength of the entire nation entering the era of national growth., Dr. Nguyen Tien Dinh expressed his opinion and said that it is necessary to continue to consolidate and strongly promote the alliance of classes, classes, ethnic groups and religions in society; Promote democracy, implement social consensus in all work and promote the role of the Vietnamese community abroad. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen solidarity and unity within the Party and build a clean and strong Party to ensure that the Party is always strong, worthy of being a leading force of the State and society.

To promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the current market economy and international integration, NGUT.PGS. Dr. Ngo Thanh Hoang, Head of the Science Management Department, Academy of Finance, said that it is necessary to continue to specify and improve the effectiveness of regulations on supervision and social criticism, especially the right to access information of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in key economic fields such as state budget, public investment, land management, natural resources, environment, implementation of PPP projects, national target programs, etc.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen organizational capacity and human resources, focus on training and fostering a team of Front cadres with in-depth knowledge of market economy, public finance, law, international integration, policy analysis skills and the use of digital tools. In particular, it is necessary to form and promote advisory councils, expert groups, and research groups in the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the participation of scientists, experts, businessmen, lawyers, and experienced social activists.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to develop a digital transformation strategy associated with the orientation of building a digital state and a digital society. The database system on people's feedback, recommendations, and complaints, on the results of supervision, social criticism, on programs and projects for socio-economic development... needs to be digitized, connected with relevant national databases, creating conditions for faster and more accurate research, analysis, and assessment," Mr. Hoang commented.
Receiving the opinions of delegates attending the Workshop, Dr. Nguyen Van Pha emphasized that the opinions of delegates will be extremely valuable and dedicated documents for the Vietnam Fatherland Front to study and implement the task of building the National Great Unity Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, he hoped that delegates would continue to pay attention to research, support and coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the process of implementing the political tasks of the Front in the current period, which places many new requirements.
