The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Hai Duong province requested to closely monitor forecasts and warnings on the development of severe cold and the actual situation in the locality to promptly notify and guide authorities at all levels and people to prevent and avoid; proactively deploy measures and plans to ensure safety for people, especially the elderly and children.
Absolutely do not use a coal stove to heat a closed room to avoid unfortunate incidents that cause loss of life as in some localities in recent years.
Strengthen propaganda and guidance for livestock farming households on hygiene, strengthening barns, covering and keeping warm, proactively stocking food to ensure prevention of hunger and cold; provide guidance on disease prevention for livestock, poultry and aquatic products; cover, shield, water, fertilize and keep moist the sown rice fields, vegetables and other crops.
Hai Duong Province's Hydrometeorological Station strengthens forecasting and warning of severe cold; provides timely and accurate information to authorities at all levels, relevant sectors, units and people in the province to proactively prevent, avoid and respond to minimize damage caused by severe cold.
