Currently, Hai Duong Museum has more than 52,000 documents, artifacts, and images collected and preserved. Among them are many valuable artifacts and collections such as: Huu Chung bronze drum - the first national treasure of Hai Duong province recognized by the Prime Minister in 2015; Chu Dau ceramic collection, Cu Lao Cham ceramic collection, ancient tomb collection, cannons, fossilized animal bones...
These artifacts contribute significantly to the display, promotion and dissemination of good cultural and traditional values about the land and people of Hai Duong.
In particular, to innovate, improve the quality of activities, and attract visitors, since 2017, Hai Duong Museum has researched, restored and put into operation a number of traditional crafts such as pottery making, green rice flakes making, star lantern decoration, making banh troi and banh chay, wrapping banh chung... and organizing folk games. The number of visitors to the museum is increasing day by day.
From 2018 to present, the museum has welcomed more than 60,000 visitors, especially students, to come to research and study.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - Director of Hai Duong Provincial Museum - said that thanks to digitization, people can easily access and explore information about historical, artistic, cultural and scientific documents that the museum contains.
Museums are becoming more attractive and closer to the public thanks to digitalization. Hai Duong Museum applies technology to serve the conservation and promotion of heritage values. In the coming time, Hai Duong Museum will prioritize digitizing artifacts for thematic exhibitions, supplementing information on artifacts to serve the people and visitors.
