On April 20, Dak Lak Provincial Police said that Hoa Phu Commune Police had just propagated and reminded two business households in the area after being approached by strangers and given free signs with QR codes advertising online gambling.
After a period of monitoring, the local police force invited representatives of the two business households to work, and at the same time propagated and explained the relevant legal regulations.
After being mobilized, business households voluntarily removed the violating signboards and signed a commitment not to re-offend. Through verification, the households did not know the content of the advertisement, and there was no purpose of profiteering, so the police agency reminded and educated them to prevent it.
According to the police, the trick of the subjects is to directly approach business households, request them to give signs or free items, then attach QR codes or content to promote betting sites to take advantage of people as advertising channels.
Hoa Phu Commune Police requested people to actively coordinate and provide information to promptly detect and prevent online gambling advertising acts, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.
