Regarding the recent fire at Cheng-V Company Limited in Do Son Industrial Park, Do Son Ward, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong assigned the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the City Police, the Departments of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Do Son Ward to urgently inspect and verify specifically the damage, environmental treatment, labor safety, production process, operation of machinery, fire prevention and fighting, and use of chemicals at Cheng-V Company Limited to ensure safe conditions for the enterprise's production activities.
Relevant departments, branches and units should study and develop coordination regulations between Do Son Industrial Park Joint Venture Company and Do Son Ward People's Committee to ensure connectivity and smooth synchronization in state management in the ward. Along with that, directing businesses to promptly overcome the damage, stabilize production, and have specific plans to ensure the security and safety of people and property during production operations.
The city police urgently investigate and determine the cause of the fire and explosion so that investors can soon have a basis to overcome the consequences, stabilize production and the lives of workers, and ensure no disruption to the supply chain.
Previously, at 1:43 a.m. on September 13, a fire broke out at the warehouse of Cheng-V. Company Limited, a 100% Chinese-owned company, headquartered at Lot L1.10L1.13A, Lot L1.24A, Do Son Industrial Park. The company specializes in the production and processing of shoes, sports equipment and related components.
The fire occurred on an area of about 200 m2 in a total warehouse of 2,500 m2, the main burning materials were leather shoe products and shoe soles. By 2:30 a.m. the same day, the fire was controlled and extinguished.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on September 15, the City Labor Federation visited, encouraged, and supported businesses with 20 million VND to overcome the consequences. At the same time, grasp the employment situation of workers after the fire. Because the fire occurred at the warehouse, it did not affect the factory, so the company is still maintaining production, ensuring jobs for more than 600 workers.
