At the 19th session of the Da Nang City People's Council (HĐND), term X, 2021-2026, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tien, representative of the HĐND City unit in Hai Chau district, informed that in 2021, the HĐND City had a resolution assigning the City People's Committee to implement projects such as relocating the railway station, preparing for the construction of a bridge over the Han River, investing in upgrading and expanding National Highways 14B, 14G, 14D...
Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tien suggested that Da Nang should focus on issuing a specific implementation plan and simultaneously announce it publicly for public awareness.
"Information needs to be specific, especially for projects that require feasibility assessments such as the tunnel project through the airport or the tunnel through the Han River, which need good pre-feasibility assessments as well as scientific evaluations, and report to the people for consensus," Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tien proposed.
At the session, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council, stated that in the last 6 months of 2024, the City Party Committee has raised the issue of directing the City People's Committee and relevant departments to develop pre-feasibility study reports for several major projects expected to be implemented in Da Nang City.
"According to the general development plan until 2030, the two projects of the tunnel through the Han River and the tunnel through Da Nang airport will be implemented after 2030. The City People's Committee will report the pre-feasibility study in the fourth quarter of 2025, so there is no immediate implementation of these projects in the near future.
And there needs to be complete information, so that people understand the city's policies and plans, and are not confused about the projects," Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang stated.
