Lam Dong - Hundreds of tons of waste from the Waste Treatment Plant in Da Lat city suddenly collapsed, burying a local coffee garden.

On October 23, the leader of the People's Committee of Xuan Truong Commune, Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) said that the authorities had organized a meeting with representatives of the Xuan Truong Solid Waste Treatment Plant located in the area. The meeting was related to the waste from the plant falling into the coffee gardens of the people.

Previously, on October 22, hundreds of tons of solid waste from the factory yard on a high hill suddenly collapsed below.

The garbage has knocked down many pine trees, overflowing and burying about 2,000 square meters of coffee land of a household. In addition, water from the landfill also leaked and poured into the stream at the foot of the hill, causing serious pollution to the area.

The incident was then reported to local authorities. Immediately afterwards, the authorities of Xuan Truong commune, Da Lat city were present at the scene to clarify the incident.

On October 23, Xuan Truong Commune People's Committee requested Xuan Truong Solid Waste Treatment Plant to clean up the scene.

The factory must scoop all the landslide waste to the collection area; at the same time, organize inspection, counting, and compensation for agricultural damage to the people.

In addition, the People's Committee of Xuan Truong commune also requested that the factory build a wall system to prevent landslides to avoid the above situation.

Xuan Truong solid waste treatment plant is invested by Green Energy Company Limited.

The factory was built on an area of ​​28 hectares and has been operating since 2015. This factory collects 100% of Da Lat city's waste for processing and production of plastic pellets, bio-fertilizers...
