Hoang Thi Hue (born in 2001): The journey to find yourself
In August 2025, I worked for Lao Dong Newspaper for 3 years. Time is not too long but enough for me to know I have found the right place to start a beautiful journey. That is a part of my youth, a brilliant youth that I have never regretted choosing.
When I get to the student threshold, I often stand in front of a mirror, holding a hammock, a pen like a microphone or riding on the road, my mouth also repeats the program introduction in sports reports. I used to think about being quoted in a sports report. And that dream came true when I came to Lao Dong.
During my internship, I was assigned to the Department of Culture and Sports. In November 2022, when the 2022 World Cup was approaching, the board planned to produce daily sports news and was surprised when I was called to give a trial report. Despite my shy, awkward routine, I still tried my best, using all my home training sessions to try my hand.
I have received trust. Since then, I have been assigned the task of hosting news reports, writing talkshow scripts, making videos, and being in charge of media of the Department of Culture and Sports...
I once went to Dien Bien to work for 10 days for the bicycle race to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. With a small laptop, two old iPhone phones and a shoulder bag, I roam the Northwest hills. It was not a simple business trip, but a journey that helped me understand more about history, patriotism and myself.
3 years of being with Lao Dong, that is the foundation for me personally. This place has lit up in me the fire of the persistent and resilient profession.
DAR RIAGUE (IND 2003): More clearly recognizing the responsibility of journalists
Starting an internship at Lao Dong Newspaper in 2023, when I was a 3rd year student, the opportunity to join this newspaper was quite surprising.
The first impression of the Newspaper is the very professional working environment. Mr. Phan Tuan Anh, who directly guided me, not only taught me how to edit and take photos but also helped me practice sharp questioning skills when interviewing experts.

Each piece of information must be carefully verified, ensuring objectivity and honesty. These requirements have helped me practice the ability to search and process information quickly but still meticulously.
One of the memorable experiences was when I and Ms. Le Ha went on a business trip to the A9 Emergency Center of Bach Mai Hospital on the night of the 30th of Tet 2025. The scene of patients being treated in the last days of the year makes me more aware of the responsibility of journalists - not only to convey information but also to tell humane stories, associated with life.
YUSH TUEG (INDON 2005): Lao Dong Newspaper helps me develop communication skills, exploiting information
Starting an internship at Lao Dong Newspaper since the end of my first year of university (July 2024), I have had a meaningful and challenging journey. One of my memorable works is an account of the reality of raising a father and father, despite the difficulty in making videos, this is an important milestone in my journalism career.

The internship at Lao Dong Newspaper helped me develop communication skills, exploit information and deeply understand the psychology of the characters. I realized that to have a good story, not only sensitivity is needed but also patience and empathy.
