Da Nang - On October 19, residents living in the apartment building for rent on Lam Hoanh Street (Son Tra District) returned to collect their belongings after the fire.

At the scene of the fire that broke out last night (October 18), many valuable items were damaged. Among them, 2 motorbikes and many washing machines were burned down. On the floor, many pieces of glass were scattered and many other deformed objects were lying around.

The fire broke out on the first floor, sending smoke billowing upwards, blackening the walls. As of this morning, the building still reeks of burning.

In addition, due to the power outage, the stairs leading to the upper floors were dark. Outside the building, ropes were tied up and signs were hung stating that entry was prohibited.

Many residents of the building returned and quickly moved their belongings out. The fire did not cause any human casualties. However, some residents suffered property damage.

It is known that this building is in the process of constructing a fire protection system. The construction of the fire protection system was demolished, installed and repaired from October 14 and is expected to be completed in 2-4 weeks. However, this incident occurred while the fire protection system was being constructed.

The building management is trying to fix and install the fire protection system as quickly as possible so that residents can return to normal life soon.

Earlier, at 7:30 p.m. on October 18, residents of the building noticed smoke rising and spreading rapidly to the floors. After that, everyone shouted for help and ran outside. Because some people were stuck on the upper floors, authorities had to use a ladder truck to bring them down to the ground.
