Breeding cows - practical livelihood to reduce poverty
In recent years, the material, spiritual life and transport infrastructure of mountainous areas in Gia Lai province have improved significantly. Concrete and asphalt roads are paved along the main routes to the coffee plantations of the villagers, helping them have more conditions to improve their lives and develop the economy thanks to agricultural production.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025, the People's Committee of Ia Phi commune determined that poverty reduction must implement many synchronous solutions to "catch" the causes of poverty.

That is to support vocational training, raise awareness for workers; support breeding cows to create livelihoods for people; connect villages with Party committees and authorities to increase sharing and understanding.
At the end of November 2025, dozens of households in Ia Phi commune were excited to receive support for quality, high-value breeding cows.
The Steering Committee for National Target Programs of Ia Phi commune has organized the distribution of 86 breeding cows to households in 4 extremely disadvantaged villages. Before awarding, commune officials conduct drawing lots to ensure democracy, transparency, fairness and the right subjects.

Specifically: Tum village is granted 15 cows; Pres village 24 cows; Yut village 23 cows; Kenh village 24 cows. Each breeding cow is worth 20 million VND, healthy quality; total shopping investment is more than 1 billion 956 million VND.
A representative of the People's Committee of Ia Phi commune, Gia Lai province said that not only supporting quality breeding cows, the commune also organizes training sessions to equip people with livestock farming knowledge. Commune officials "hand-to-hand guide" and guide people from how to prepare animal feed to disease prevention measures.
The enthusiasm and care for people's lives has strengthened their affection, creating a new direction for households in difficulty and lacking conditions for cultural - economic - social development.

Need to promote resources from the central and local governments
Mr. Pham Ba Nam - Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Ia Phi Commune, Gia Lai Province - said that the commune government always mobilizes and propagates to change the way of thinking and working; creating an atmosphere of emulation in labor production among the people. Electrical and farming classes are opened every year, helping to solve employment for many workers.
Socio-political organizations, unions and governments regularly organize peaceful celebrations with villages and hamlets to accompany people in sustainable poverty reduction, gradually eliminating superstitions and outdated customs.

Only when people's lives and awareness are improved will political security and rural security be maintained, thereby creating conditions to attract investment in construction, processing and improving production capacity.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "C West Gia Lai communes and wards are potential, fertile, and fertile lands; it is impossible for people to be poor."
Commune authorities need to increase access to policy capital, support effective production models for people to learn and start businesses.

The biggest bottleneck needs to be removed in the production organization stage; overcome the situation where agricultural products have not increased in value, and are not linked to deep processing and the market.
The leaders of Gia Lai province also requested each commune and ward to develop a development plan based on the space of regional linkages, effectively integrating resources from the central, provincial to local levels.
