In the last days of October 2025, many job fairs were held in turn in the mountainous communes of the especially difficult mountains of Sung Mang, Khau Vai and Tat Nga of Tuyen Quang province. This is an opportunity for ethnic minorities and poor households to access job opportunities and increase their income.
Having been informed by the commune officials in advance, on the day of the job fair, Ms. Thao Thi Ly (Khau Vai commune) woke up at 4am, traveling more than 10km in the mountains to the commune center in the hope of finding a suitable job.
"I have discussed with a leather shoe garment company in Tuyen Quang, with a salary of 7 million VND/month. For many years, I have only been living in the village, without income, so I am very poor. Now I have money to work and hope to escape poverty and have money to build a house," Ms. Ly shared.
The job fair was held in Khau Vai commune with the participation of 15 enterprises from inside and outside Tuyen Quang province. The work is diverse, mainly aimed at unskilled workers, workers from poor households.

Mr. Le Van Quy - Vice Chairman of Khau Vai Commune People's Committee, said that the commune is mainly made up of ethnic minorities, with many difficulties in life, and a high rate of poor and near-poor households. Organizing a job fair to the commune will help workers and poor households access recruitment information.
"In just one job fair, more than 900 people in the commune came to me. Many poor households hope to find a job and have a stable income to escape poverty, this is also the desire of the locality", Vice Chairman of Khau Vai Commune People's Committee shared.
As for Mr. Ban Van The, Na Hang commune (Tuyen Quang), the current job of a mechanical worker with a stable income of nearly 9 million VND/month has been a dream for many years. Mr. The got this job also thanks to participating in the job fair held in the commune.

Through job fairs, thousands of rural workers, poor, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty in Tuyen Quang have access to job information. In the coming time, Tuyen Quang province will promote job counseling in ethnic minority areas, especially difficult areas, and localities with many poor households.
This will contribute to solving employment and creating sustainable income in places with high rates of poor and near-poor households, helping to reduce falling back into poverty, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025, Tuyen Quang province has actively innovated consulting and job introduction. In particular, regularly organizing direct, online and online job fairs helps increase connectivity, creating jobs to remote communes where the poverty rate is still high.
The job fairs focus on providing labor market information, diversifying job fairs, connecting labor supply and demand, supporting the creation of sustainable jobs for workers, prioritizing workers from poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households.
Workers from poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households with job needs will be supported to connect, receive consultation, career guidance, provide labor market information, and support in finding jobs.
