Dong Nai - The dismantling of the toll station on National Highway 51 contributes to reducing congestion and ensuring traffic safety.

On April 18, at the site of dismantling toll station T2 (which has been suspended since 2023), in an exchange with Lao Dong newspaper reporters, a representative of the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Construction said that the dismantling of the above 2 toll stations along with the repair of National Highway 51 through the province is expected to help limit congestion and traffic unsafety on National Highway 51 through the province.

According to a representative of the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province, the dismantling of the above 2 toll stations will be completed before the April 30th holiday, helping people to travel from the center of Ho Chi Minh City through National Highway 51 to Vung Tau beach (Ho Chi Minh City) more conveniently and smoothly. Specifically, the dismantling time is from April 18th to April 24th.

According to records, from the morning of April 18, toll station T1 (Km10+778, Tam Phuoc ward) and toll station T2 (Km28+450, Long Phuoc commune) in Dong Nai province have been dismantled by functional agencies, restoring the road cross-section according to the design scale, resolving petitions from voters, businesses, and people about the risk of congestion and overcoming potential traffic accident points.

According to the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province, through management work, it shows that toll stations T1 and T2 no longer have exploitation functions but still have station building structures, traffic diversion islands, foundations, signs and auxiliary items...

This leads to the potential risk of congestion and traffic accidents due to travel demand during peak hours, holidays, and increased demand for freight transportation...

The complete dismantling of toll stations T1 and T2 is extremely necessary and urgent, contributing to urban embellishment, ensuring safety, preventing the risk of congestion and overcoming potential traffic accident points.

National Highway 51, the section passing through Dong Nai province, was transferred by the Ministry of Finance to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for management on April 16, 2025.

However, on the route section, there are still 2 toll stations that have not been dismantled and have stopped collecting tolls since January 13, 2023 to date.
