On February 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction coordinated with relevant units and functional forces to dismantle toll station T3 on National Highway 51, passing through Tan Hai ward (Ho Chi Minh City).
From early morning, forces began to gather and mobilize vehicles to deploy. At the same time, organize traffic diversion and regulation through the construction area. At this time, the number of vehicles is not too large, so traffic is stable and no congestion occurs.
Previously, on the afternoon of February 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction had a document announcing the organization of dismantling toll station T3 on National Highway 51. In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Management and Technical Infrastructure Center (under the Department of Construction) will be the main dismantling unit, expected to take place in 8 days from February 4.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, toll station T3 no longer has the function of exploitation but still has building structures, stations, traffic diversion... affecting traffic in the area. Especially at the end of the year due to increased travel and cargo transportation demand, dismantling is necessary and urgent. The Department of Construction has requested Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Development Joint Stock Company (BVEC, the investor) to dismantle, but this unit has not agreed to implement it.
It is known that the BOT project to expand National Highway 51, about 73 km long, passes through 2 localities Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau), including 3 toll stations T1, T2 (Dong Nai) and T3. Currently, toll collection has been temporarily suspended for a long time, but there are still some obstacles leading to investors not dismantling toll stations.
