Phu Tho - Students of schools in Nat Son commune were notified to take leave from school on September 16 to ensure safety due to rain and floods causing many underground and culverts to be flooded.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of September 16, Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Nat Son commune, Phu Tho province, said that on September 15 to September 16, floods diễn biến phức tạp.

Accordingly, kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in the area had to let students take a day off on September 16 to ensure safety.

According to Ms. Yen, the Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has inspected the affected areas. As of the morning of September 16, 5 households had to move assets and 35 households raised their assets on the spot to ensure safety.

Floods caused 48 hectares of rice and crops to be flooded, including 38 hectares of rice and 10 hectares of crops. Among the 45 sewers and culverts in the area, 40 locations were flooded, including 4 sewers managed by the province and 36 sewers managed by the commune.

Landslides occurred in some locations. In Son Thuy village, Doi area, there are 2 positive taluy landslide points, one point about 5 m long, 2 m high and one point about 4 m long.

In Lien Ket village, Suoi My area, a landslide occurred on both the positive and negative slopes, about 30 m long and about 10 m high.

Doan Ket village recorded a positive taluy landslide in Khoang De hill area, about 50 m long, about 20 m high.

In Kham village, landslides occurred on the positive slope into the kitchen area of Ms. Thi Nhinh and Ms. Thi Hoan's households, about 50 m long, about 10 m high. Soil buried on the kitchen wall and barn about 2 m.

In Thuong Bi village, Go Rom area, landslides occurred with a height of about 6 m and a length of about 5 m.
