On the evening of February 12, 2026 (December 25 of the year At Ty), the 46th Ho Chi Minh City Spring Flower Festival officially opened at Tao Dan Park, opening a series of activities to welcome Binh Ngo Tet 2026 for city residents.
With the theme "Spring gathers - Steadfastly reaching out", this year's Spring Flower Festival is organized on an area of 9.6 hectares, continuing the journey of more than 45 years to become a cultural rendezvous every Tet holiday. The festival space is designed in the direction of combining modern installation art with traditional landscapes, creating a brilliant spring picture in the "green lungs" of the city center.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized that for 46 years, the Spring Flower Festival has not only been an annual cultural event but has become a part of the Tet soul of Ho Chi Minh City people, an indispensable address every spring.
Stepping into the year of Binh Ngo 2026, with the mascot image of brave horses, Ho Chi Minh City carries a message about breakthrough and reaching far," said Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, while affirming that this year's Spring Flower Festival is not only a place to show off the colors of thousands of exotic flowers, but also a testament to the strong vitality, optimistic spirit and solidarity of the city's people.
Right at the main gate of Truong Dinh, the large scene "Sac Ngo Nghinh Xuan" attracts a large number of people and tourists. The image of the trio of horse mascots striding on stylized bamboo waves, towards the Hung Kings Memorial Temple, became a prominent photo spot in the opening night. The central scene "Football of the countryside" and "Golden Apricot to the king" with a 6-layer structure surrounding 8 Horse symbols with the meaning of "Fortune - Prosperity", sending the expectation of a smooth and prosperous new year.
At the gate of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the space "Van Ma Nghenh Xuan" and the large scene "Tuan Ma Phi Van" recreate the image of horses galloping enthusiastically. The flexible design lines combine the dominant red - orange - yellow colors with blue and jade green to create a brilliant and outstanding overall look in the night lights.
After the opening ceremony, crowds flocked to miniatures such as "Sứ giả đất trời", "Non sông cẩm tú", "Mê cung gấm hoa", "Đảo hoa nhiệt đới", "Hoa hội đồng lòng" to visit and record early spring moments. Many families wore traditional ao dai, taking souvenir photos next to the Bính Ngọ mascot and elaborately invested large landscape clusters.
The orchid display space is designed like an "open art garden" with trellises and flower petal-shaped canopies, sparkling under the lighting system, quickly becoming a check-in point attracting young people.
