Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan inspected storm prevention and control work No. 1 at Cua Lan fishing port (Nam Cuong commune), Lan culvert (Nam Cuong commune) and disaster prevention and control works at Doan Dong culvert (Hung Phu commune).
According to the Provincial Border Guard Civil Defense Command, the whole province currently has 1,334 vehicles with 2,843 workers operating at sea. As of 5:00 PM on July 3, there are still 74 vehicles with 307 workers operating at sea; 1,060 vehicles with 2,536 workers have anchored at the wharf. In addition, there are 3 vehicles outside the province with 21 workers anchored in Hung Yen sea area. All vehicles have maintained contact.
Localities are also urgently bringing workers at aquaculture ponds, clam watchtowers and cages to safe places according to storm response plans.
For disaster prevention and control works, Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 is implementing the construction of 5 culverts across dikes. Up to now, the main items are basically completed, meeting the requirements of disaster prevention and control.
The unit is directing the contractor to focus manpower and equipment, accelerate the progress of the remaining items, and ensure the safety of the project during the rainy and storm season.

Through inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan requested departments, branches, and localities to absolutely not be subjective to the storm's developments; maintain 24/24 hour duty, regularly update the situation to promptly direct and handle arising situations.
For coastal localities, the comrade requested to continue to review, count, and strictly manage ships and boats; strictly implement the sea ban order from 4:00 PM on July 3rd, not allowing ships and boats to go out to sea; complete bringing all ships and boats to safe anchorage place before 7:00 PM on the same day, and at the same time arrange reasonable means to avoid collisions and ship sinking in the anchorage area.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested coastal communes to complete the relocation of clam farming workers, aquaculture workers, and people working at clam watchtowers, cages and low-lying areas along rivers and coasts to safe places before 8 pm on July 3rd; close border gates and barriers through sea dikes and river mouth dikes immediately after completing the relocation.

Regarding dyke protection and disaster prevention and control works, comrade requested to strengthen inspection of key dyke, embankment, and culvert routes, especially works under construction on sea dykes and river mouth dykes; proactively mobilize forces, materials, and vehicles to promptly handle arising incidents.
In addition, irrigation works exploitation companies are required to operate the sewer system flexibly, take advantage of draining water in the system and be ready to activate drainage pumping stations when heavy rain occurs to protect newly planted rice areas, crops, industrial parks and urban areas.
