This information was announced by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City at the Conference summarizing the program and responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" on April 20.
This large funding source was mobilized from the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns, Thu Duc City, socio-political organizations and the banking system in the city.
According to Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy, the movement has achieved positive results, demonstrating the solidarity of the entire political system and community.
The State Bank of Vietnam and the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch and banks have contributed more than VND25.3 billion to repair 323 houses for disadvantaged households.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of localities and socio-political organizations also mobilized more than VND44.8 billion from the Fund for the Poor and other socialized sources, supporting the construction and repair of 899 new houses.

Ms. Kim Thuy emphasized that this is not only a social security program, but also a meaningful project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, demonstrating the spirit of great solidarity and community responsibility of the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
The movement also strongly spreads the spirit of mutual love, attracting the companionship of hundreds of businesses, organizations and individuals.

Mr. Huynh Van Tuoi (District 8), one of the households supported to repair their houses, was moved to share his joy at having a spacious home, no longer worried when it rains or is windy.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to implement practical social security programs, promote the effectiveness of fund resources and promote socialization, while praising outstanding collectives and individuals and replicating effective models.
At the conference, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded certificates of merit by Ho Chi Minh City leaders, recognizing their important contributions to the success of this meaningful movement.
The completion of 100% of the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households before April 30, 2025 is a strong mark, demonstrating the city's strong determination in sustainable poverty reduction.
