On August 11, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Director of Hue City Police and the working group inspected the city's drug rehabilitation facility.
According to the facility's report, from March 1, 2025 to now, the facility has received, managed and treated more than 200 students. Among them, 78 students have completed drug rehabilitation and returned to their localities to continue being managed and supported for community reintegration.
In addition to treatment, the facility organizes legal education, life skills, health care and vocational training for students. The unit has coordinated with the Hue City Center for Disease Control to screen for HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis.
Notably, 60 trainees were trained in industrial sewing, mechanical - welding occupations and were granted elementary certificates, creating conditions for finding jobs after completing detoxification.
Through inspection, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan requested the unit to continue to review difficulties and "bottleneck points" in drug detoxification work; strictly implement management procedures, ensure security and safety.
The Director of Hue City Police also requested to strengthen psychological counseling, legal education, career guidance and vocational training, helping students recover, limit relapse and gradually reintegrate into the community.
