On the evening of July 29, in the East Sea Park area (Da Nang City), more than 2,000 officers and soldiers of the forces of the Ministry of Public Security and Da Nang City Police had a joint training session on artistic performances and force demonstrations to prepare for the Opening Ceremony of the Final Round of the 2026 Military, Martial Arts and People's Police Sports Festival.
The training session attracted the attention of a large number of local people and tourists. Parade blocks, magnificent drum and festival troupes and military bands coordinated smoothly and rhythmically. Many performances of top professional skills such as specialized motorcycle parades, cavalry, martial arts, qigong, handling situations to protect key people, shooting and destroying targets or rescue and relief drills were carried out seriously and accurately.
Major General Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Sports Festival shared:
This year's sports festival attracted 4,700 officers and soldiers directly participating in the competition along with more than 2,000 soldiers performing at the opening ceremony. This is considered the largest scale ever in the People's Public Security Forces. In particular, many very new competition contents closely following combat practice have been introduced such as swimming directly on the Han River instead of swimming pools, nighttime military gun shooting combined with professional explosions or stick martial arts combat... All to train bravery and improve the actual combat ability of forces at the grassroots level.
According to the leaders of Da Nang City Police, to date, most of the athlete delegations have arrived in Da Nang and are well-arranged with accommodation and living. The unit has assigned specific tasks, mobilized traffic police, ward and commune police and grassroots security forces to be on duty at 100%, ensuring absolute security and order, reasonable traffic diversion, without affecting the lives of people and tourists.
According to the Organizing Committee, official competitions will be held continuously from July 30 to August 5. The closing and overall award ceremony will take place on August 7.
