On July 17, the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Hue City coordinated with Huong Tra ward to organize an incense offering ceremony and take biological samples of martyrs' remains that have not been identified in the locality.
Attending the ceremony were Colonel Le Hong Viet - Political Commissar of Hue City Military Command, Standing Deputy Head of Hue City Steering Committee 515 and local leaders.
After the incense offering ceremony, specialized forces of the Hue City Military Command coordinated with local authorities to excavate unidentified graves to take biological samples for DNA testing. The sampling process was carried out in accordance with procedures and regulations.
All graves after sampling are digitized, fully updated information into the national database to serve the management, storage and DNA testing.

According to the Steering Committee 515 of Hue City, there are currently 86 martyrs' graves without information in Huong Tra ward, of which Huong Van Martyrs' Cemetery has 64 graves and Huong Van Martyrs' Cemetery has 22 graves. The biological sample collection work here was carried out from July 17 to 25.
The above activities are part of the 500-day and night campaign to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains. As of July 17, Hue City has deployed biological sample collection at 28/42 martyrs' cemeteries in the area; exhumed more than 3,700 graves and collected nearly 1,900 biological samples for DNA testing.
According to the plan, the city continues to accelerate the progress of biological sample taking, contributing to early identification of martyrs' remains, meeting the aspirations of relatives of martyrs' families and implementing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source".
