On July 16, the Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized the program "Quang Ninh Youth - Proud to follow in the footsteps", to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
Attending the program were Mr. Quan Minh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province; Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Student Association; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province.
The program also had the participation of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thuoc, along with wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, former youth volunteers, relatives of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and union members and youth in the province.
At the program, the Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized the presentation of 24 restored portraits of martyrs to relatives of martyrs.

To date, the "1,000 photos of Fire Flame Season" project has handed over more than 170 restored martyr photos to families of martyrs' relatives.
At the program, Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union also coordinated with Army Corps 19 and units to present 45 gifts of gratitude to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, former youth volunteers, policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Over the past time, Youth Union levels have maintained visits and gifts to policy families; organized "Gratitude Meals"; renovated cemeteries, cared for martyrs' graves; repaired houses, provided medical examinations and free medicine for people with meritorious services.
Responding to the "Fire Flames Story" Project of the Central Youth Union, Quang Ninh youth have collected, digitized and spread more than 14,000 historical stories in cyberspace, contributing to bringing memories of the resistance wars closer to the younger generation.

Speaking at the program, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong emphasized that War Invalids and Martyrs' Day is not only an occasion to express gratitude to those who sacrificed and contributed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, but also to remind today's generation about the responsibility to continue the values built by the sacrifice of previous generations.
Provincial Party Secretary requested union members and youth to maintain revolutionary ideals, constantly study, train, master science and technology, digital transformation; promote the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate and daring to take responsibility for the common good.
Party committees and authorities need to train and create an environment for youth to contribute. The Youth Union organization continues to innovate its activities, linking the youth movement with the province's development tasks.
Within the framework of the program, the seminar "Continuing the fire of tradition" was organized with shares from wounded soldiers and former youth volunteers about a time of fighting and contributing to national independence, contributing to traditional education and fostering the responsibility of youth.
