In 2025, the Agriculture and Environment sector of Hung Yen province achieved many important results, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production is estimated at 44,918 billion VND, an increase of 4.1% compared to 2024.
Agricultural production continues to strongly shift to the agricultural economy, developing concentrated models, linking value chains, organic agriculture, circulation, ecology and emission reduction.
Crop cultivation, plant protection and mechanization are effectively implemented. Livestock farming is maintained stably in the direction of biosecurity. The aquaculture sector is growing, with a total output estimated at 358.7 thousand tons, an increase of 3.18%.
The management of fishing vessels and combating illegal exploitation (IUU) has been tightened, 100% of vessels are eligible for registration, inspection, and installation of journey monitoring equipment.

Irrigation, dykes and disaster prevention and control are proactively implemented, inspected and handled violations promptly. New rural programs, OCOP, cooperatives, farms, and craft villages contribute to improving farmers' income.
Land management, resources, minerals and environmental protection have many changes; the rate of urban waste collection and treatment reaches 100%, rural areas 95%, households use clean water 98%.
In 2026, the sector identifies focusing on restructuring green and sustainable agriculture; improving added value; managing resources, protecting the environment; disaster prevention and control; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam requested the sector to overcome shortcomings, closely follow the provincial plan, complete the project to develop cultivation, animal husbandry, and aquaculture; review the dyke and irrigation systems; strengthen inspection and management of sensitive areas, solve bottlenecks, and create investment motivation.
Along with that, strengthen control and prevention of environmental pollution; advise on planning and orienting networks and systems for waste and wastewater treatment in residential areas, zones and industrial clusters.
On this occasion, 17 collectives and individuals of the Agriculture and Environment sector with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in 2025 were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
