On August 18, information from Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that functional forces had just extinguished a fire in a production forest of people.
Accordingly, at about 7 pm on August 17, the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police received a report of a production forest fire from Ms. Le Thi Luong (residing in Ha Giang 1 ward, Tuyen Quang province).
After receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Ha Giang area mobilized 4 fire trucks and 40 officers and soldiers to the scene.
In the area where the fire occurred, the terrain was large hills and forests, with many grasses and vegetation that were easily flammable. The fire occurred at night, with thick smoke, making it difficult to approach the fire and deploy fire fighting formations.
The forces then deployed fire hydrant formations, organized zoning, prevented fire spread and directly approached the fire areas to extinguish the fire.
After more than 2 hours of effort, at about 9 pm on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. The forces continued to inspect and handle areas that were still at risk of re-igniting fire, ensuring safety before withdrawing from the scene.
The cause of the fire and damage are being coordinated by functional forces to verify and clarify.
