In the afternoon of August 15, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province - visited and encouraged families with fishing boats caught fire in Tan An village, Quynh Phu commune.
Here, the Nghe An Front presented 15 million VND in support to each owner of a burned fishing vessel, with a total amount of 75 million VND from the Nghe An Provincial Relief Fund, contributing to helping families overcome immediate difficulties.

Previously, at about 3:40 a.m. on August 15, a fire broke out in Tan An village, causing serious damage to 5 fishing boats with control plates NA-93311-TS, NA-80261-TS, NA-92046-TS, NA-90934-TS and NA-80515-TS.
Initial estimated total damage is about 6 billion VND.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with the police and military forces of Quynh Phu commune, local officials and fishermen to organize firefighting.

By about 5 am on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. Currently, functional agencies are coordinating to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
Visiting the affected families, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung visited and encouraged people to maintain their spirit, soon overcome the consequences, restore production activities and stabilize their lives.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province requested local Party committees, authorities and functional agencies to continue to pay attention to and support affected households; and at the same time strengthen fire risk screening, implement fire prevention and fighting measures for ships and boats.
Ship owners are advised to raise their awareness of fire prevention and fighting, and proactively equip themselves with necessary fire fighting equipment to limit the risk of fire and explosion.
