Directly present to direct the rescue of victims in the bus accident that left nearly 20 people injured and dead, Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health said that the Department of Health mobilized 5 ambulances and 16 provincial doctors to support Muong Cha District Medical Center in carrying out rescue work for the victims.
"We have mobilized 5 ambulances, including 2 from the Provincial General Hospital and 3 from the District Medical Center. Currently, 5 seriously ill patients have been transferred to the provincial level, the remaining victims continue to receive emergency care and treatment at the Muong Cha District Medical Center," said Mr. Nam.
Also according to the Director of Dien Bien Department of Health, the severe cases all suffered broken thighs, broken legs and traumatic brain injuries...
"After receiving first aid at the district level, the patients are now conscious," Mr. Nam added.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that an accident occurred at 5:30 this morning (October 16) at Km13+120 National Highway 4H, a passenger bus with license plate 29F - 052.26 was traveling in the direction of Muong Cha - Muong Nhe when the accident occurred.
The initial cause was determined to be that the passenger bus lost control and crashed into a positive embankment. At the time of the accident, there were 19 people on the bus, all passengers were injured, including 1 dead and 5 seriously injured.
