On March 1, the People's Committee of Long Thanh district announced that it had handed over more than 208 hectares of land for the construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
Of which, component project 1 of Long Thanh district has handed over 65.27 hectares to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to implement the project, reaching over 83.5% of the project's land.
For component project 2, Long Thanh district has also handed over nearly 143 hectares to Project Management Board 85 to implement the project, reaching over 94% of the project's land.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Phase 1 through Long Thanh District is about 28 km long (including Component Project 1 and Component Project 2) with a total reclaimed area of nearly 230 hectares.
Of which, component project 1 reclaims more than 78ha/1,024 organizations, households and individuals through Long An, Long Duc, An Phuoc, Loc An communes, Long Thanh town with a length of about 9.8 km. Component project 2 reclaims more than 151 hectares/1,762 organizations, households and individuals passing through Long An, Long Phuoc, Phuoc Thai, Tan Hiep, Phuoc Binh communes with a length of about 18.2 km.
The People's Committee of Long Thanh district also said that it has approved resettlement arrangements for 812 households. About 149 households have not yet approved due to lack of legal basis for the District Compensation Council to approve resettlement arrangements, consider resolving housing, due to problems with regulations... and 728 households are not eligible.
Long Thanh district has arranged 2 resettlement areas for households including: Long Duc resettlement area with about 843 plots of land. Up to now, the resettlement plots have been organized by people to build houses and live in. As for the Long Duc resettlement area with about 1,048 lots, the construction volume has reached over 76% and the lottery has been conducted to divide the resettlement lots.
The total number of households considered for resettlement is 1,689 households.
